The fight for animal rights is a fight that also encompasses the environment. When you proclaim that animals are sentient beings who do not deserve to be perceived as ‘things’ freely available for ‘use’, your activism also gives voice to the grave injustice we do to our environment by plundering its resources and littering it with toxic garbage.
In order to be successful in our activism, we need to understand that we humans are not separate from the ecosystem; we are an integral part of it.
There are many ways in which we can be active against animal cruelty and environmental degradation. From spreading awareness and knowledge, to working on a policy level, the possibilities are endless. With carefully aligned strategies, activists can climb up the ladder to successfully ending harmful industrial meat practices, one step at a time. Fighting for the environment is fighting for human welfare.
This is an excellent platform for activists to come together, share their ideas, and collaborate on creative projects. Together, we can do both, saving our hens, gorillas, and turtles, and also protecting our glaciers, oceans, and forests.
